Baklava is made up of layered fillo dough pastry that is stuffed with different kinds of nut such as walnuts, pistachios, cashews, etc. It is then baked and drizzled with a honey syrup.

Baklava is not traditionally made to be vegan as the fillo dough is coated with ghee, a type of clarified butter used for cooking, as well as honey.

We do not currently have a vegan option but we are working on having one out in the very near future.

Baklava can go bad if it is not stored properly, it is best if stored in a cool area away from sunlight. Our baklava has a shelf life of one year when stored properly.

The shelf life of our baklava is 1 year (after the box has been opened). For unopened boxes there is a printed shelf life on the box.

We recommended storing baklava in the refrigerator (both opened and unopened boxes).
